Privacy

Lumen is a daily browser puzzle. Everything runs locally in your browser from a static file served by Cloudflare. There is no account, no login, and nothing tied to you on a server.

What is stored on your device

The game writes a small amount of data to your browser's localStorage so your progress persists between visits:

Your daily streak and total wins.
The mirrors you've placed on today's puzzle, so a refresh doesn't erase them.
Your personal best per puzzle (fewest mirrors + star count).
A flag that the tutorial has been seen.

This data lives only on your device. We never see it or receive it. You can clear it from your browser's site settings at any time; doing so resets your streak and personal bests.

Analytics

The site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless and does not identify individual users. Cloudflare reports aggregate counts — total page views, countries, referring sites — not personal activity. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.

Advertising

If and when ads appear, they are served by Google AdSense, which may set cookies to serve relevant ads and measure performance. Google is a separate data controller for ad serving. You can opt out of personalized advertising at adssettings.google.com. For visitors in the EU, UK, and California, a consent prompt will appear before ads load.

Cookies

Lumen itself sets no cookies. Cloudflare Analytics sets no cookies. If AdSense is enabled, Google may set cookies as described above.

Your rights

Under the GDPR, CCPA, and similar laws you have the right to know what data is collected about you and to request its deletion. Because Lumen stores nothing on a server, there is nothing for us to delete beyond the data in your own browser (which you can clear yourself). For Cloudflare or Google data, contact those services directly.
